Looking at buyers of Australia and New Zealand-based tech companies, regional demand was strong. Australia represented the home of 46% of buyers and New Zealand was home to an additional 8%. Outside of the ANZ region, the US was the headquarters of 28% of acquirers followed by the United Kingdom at 6% and Canada at 4%. Overall, dealmaking remained highly international as 52% of acquisitions were cross-border deals.

Looking at sellers by geography, Australia saw the largest volume of sellers headquartered in the country at 81%, followed by New Zealand at 19%.
