Looking at buyers by geography, Australia represented the home of 40% of buyers and New Zealand represented an additional 10%. Outside of the ANZ region, the US was home to 24% of acquirers followed by the United Kingdom at 12%. Overall, dealmaking remained highly international as 55% of acquisitions were cross-border deals.

Australia saw the largest volume of sellers headquartered in the country at 76%, followed by New Zealand at 24%.
